I bought these to use with rapier and gothic-hilt sabre. They are very stiff until they wear inand there's limited space for finger-tip protectors (if you go for the size recommended in the measuring guide). The gloves are very stiff at first and take a while to break in, but they handle very nicely when using a sword and do a good job of protecting your hand against any scratches or minor impacts. The cuff of the glove is padded all the way around but the rest of it is only padded at the top, nothing underneath or at the sides of your fingers. They fit my hands nicely.Quality Price Value
