The Marto factory is located in Toledo, a city famous for its history, its art and its steel. The fame of the ancient Toledo steels lay in the mastery of tempering. This “Secret of Tempering” has been very jealously guarded by all the master swordsmiths of Toledo, being transmitted only from generation to generation.

Marto was founded in an old quarter in the historic centre of Toledo, to capture the legacy of a sword making tradition that has carried the name of Toledo to the most remote corners of the world. They have gathered the knowledge and experience of over 100 years of specialized work in the manufacture of traditionally crafted products. Marto is served by a team of irreplaceable master craftsmen, swordsmiths, specialists and professionals, some of which were trained in the historic National Weapons Factory of Toledo.
