The FG PRO 350N gambeson was created on the basis of the new FG 350N and AP PRO. To create this model, solutions developed in the production of the PLUS series were used. Visually, it resembles the old 15th-century gambesons. It combines the features of a very durable, modern HEMA jacket with a historical, medieval flair.

This jacket is designed for medium and heavy HEMA training, e.g. with Feder. Thanks to the PRO overlays, the gambeson is best suited for those who want to save time during preparation for training. The set is detachable, so this jacket can also be used for HEMA training of lower intensity as well.

The FG PRO reaches mid-thigh and has side slits. It is fastened with a zipper and velcro, and has mounting points with PRO overlays on the sleeves. Its collar is equipped with blade-catcher.

FG PRO is made of 350N puncture resistant fabrics. The PRO overlays included in the set are specially profiled and provide full cushioning of the arms. Thanks to this, you don’t have to install additional layers, you will shorten the preparation time for training and you will be able to enjoy longer sparring sessions. Structurally, this jacket is similar to AP PRO Plus 350N and FG 350N. Filling is made of recycled felt.

During training, this gambeson does not interfere in movement and, despite the increased cushioning, does not reduce mobility or comfort of wearing. This is one of the longest SPES jackets, so if you need additional cushioning, e.g. on the thighs, the FG PRO 350N will be the perfect choice.

It is worth mentioning that the roots of the FG gambeson date back to the beginnings of our company and cooperation with "Fechtshule Gdańsk". The first version of this unique jacket at that time was designed with the help of Jan Chodkiewicz. Its appearance resembles 15th-century gambesons.

The FG 350N can be used by both beginners and advanced users. It is designed for any type of HEMA training. However, with the heaviest ones, it is worth getting additional overlays or cushioning layers.

The FG 350N gambeson is fastened with a zipper + velcro (so called double-closure), reaches to the middle of the thighs, and has slits on the sides. On the elbows there are additional mounting points for overlays, e.g. Shell or PRO. The collar has a blade-catcher.

Fabric, used during making of this gambeson has 350N puncture resistance. This specially developed system of layers ensures endurance and mobility during HEMA training. The gambeson is cut off at the body so that its lower part rests on the hips. The sleeves (sewn in deeply) consist of 2 elements and have gussets under the armpits. This ensures maximum mobility during training. Structurally, this jacket is similar to the AP PLUS 350N. The filling is made of recycled felt. Cushioning layers in it are located on the chest, shoulders and elbows.

FG Light 350N was created on the basis of FG 350N and solutions used during the production of AP Light Plus 350N. It has slightly different properties from its prototype, but still refers to historical gambesons from the 15th century with its appearance.

It is recommended for people training HEMA, regardless of their skills or advancement level. It is a very universal model that can become a base for creating light or heavy sparring sets. However, do not forget about additional overlays or plastrons, especially during the most intense sparrings.

The FG Light jacket is fastened with a zipper + velcro (so called double-closure). Blade catcher is attached to the collar, and the elbows with special straps for overlays attaching, e.g. Shell or PRO. Compared to other SPES jackets, the FG is longer, reaches mid-thigh and has slits on the sides.

This gambeson is made of 350N puncture resistant fabrics. A 3D spacer mesh was used for the production of the lining. Like the AP Light 350N, the FG jacket has pockets for additional foams (included with the jacket). They are modifiable: you can remove them, change their size or add additional cushioning layers.

An important feature of this jacket is its lower weight (the lowest among the FG family). Breathable construction and high level of hygroscopicity are other features of this unique gambeson. This doublet is dedicated for HEMA training of light and medium intensity, with the use of light simulators like saber, messer, or rapier. It makes a perfect set of HEMA gear with our pants: Meyer or Light.

Our HEMA doublet does not have much stitching and it has characteristic shoulder wings on sleeves and a segmented peplum. On the back it has an adjustable belt for better fitting to the waist. On the elbows it is equipped with mountings for Shell or PRO overlays. The doublet is fastened with velcro and zipper.

This doublet is dedicated for HEMA training of light and medium intensity, with the use of light simulators like saber, messer, or rapier. It makes a perfect set of HEMA gear with loose pants, like SPES Meyer or SPES Light.

Our HEMA Doublet has visible stitching and, like the Renaissance version, is decorated with shoulder wings on the sleeves. Bottom edge is decorated with a segmented peplum. On the elbows it is equipped with mountings for Shell or PRO overlays. The doublet is fastened with velcro and zipper. There is a bladecatcher on the collar and an adjustable belt on the back.

Our Master doublet is made from fabric of 350N puncture resistance. The peplum consists of 8 segments; the 2 on the front are slightly sheared. The jacket has a lining in the form of distance mesh. The jacket stands out thanks to its contrastive stitching. This solution gives the this jacket an even stronger historical vibe than the Renaissance Doublet. Just like our Attila jacket, the doublet has a front flap and special pockets with cushioning foams (included in the set).

The design of our HEMA arming doublet refers to historical examples of arming and fencing doublets. This means it is perfectly fitted to the body shape, emphasizing its triangular shape. What is more, wings on the sleeves visually expand the shoulders, underlining the torso. Visible stitching gives this version a more “combative” look than the Renaissance version. Apart from the great design, this jacket also provides good mobility.
