Renaissance HEMA Doublet is dedicated for HEMA training of light and medium intensity. Visually, it will perfectly match light simulators like saber, messer, or rapier. It makes a perfect set of HEMA gear with our pants: Meyer or Light.

Our HEMA doublet for women does not have visible stitching like the Master version. It has characteristic shoulder wings on sleeves and a segmented peplum. On the back it has an adjustable belt for better fitting to the waist. On the elbows it is equipped with mountings for Shell or  PRO overlays. The doublet is fastened with velcro and zipper.

Our interpretation of a Renaissance doublet is made from fabric of 350N puncture resistance. The peplum consists of 8 segments; the 2 on the front are slightly sheared. Jacket has a distance mesh lining. Just like our Attila jacket, the doublet has a front flap and special pockets with cushioning foams (included in the set).

The design of our HEMA doublet refers to historical examples of arming and fencing doublets. This means it is perfectly fitted to body shape, emphasizing its values. What is more, the wings on the sleeves visually expand the shoulders and the jacket slims the silhouette. Our doublet provides the comfort of wearing and a fancy look. The new AP PRO PLUS has very good cushioning. It will be best for heavy training with a longsword, e.g. Feder. This heavily built-in equipment is modifiable. If necessary, you can disassemble all additional elements and use the jacket for lighter sparring.

AP PRO PLUS is made of fabrics that have a puncture resistance of 350N with black suede leather attached to its front. The jacket has the so-called double-closure (zipper + velcro), its collar is equipped with a blade catcher, and the sleeves with PRO overlays.

A leather overlap at the front gives more confident shock absorption. Like the base of this jacket, this element also has special tucks that adapt the AP PRO to women’s shapes. Like other women’s jackets, this one also has an adjustable strap at the back and two slits at the bottom edge to better fit the female figure. The AP PRO PLUS filling is the same as in the AP and male AP PRO versions. Compared to the original, mountings for the PRO overlays (included in the kit) have been slightly changed. They are similar to those known from the NG 800N series, but we have made them in black. Overlays themselves now also have a better shape.

A high level of cushioning goes hand in hand with the comfort of use. AP PRO PLUS is comfortable, and the increased functionality results in high mobility and confidence in movements. Also, the leather layer does not change its properties. If you decide on this jacket, you will not have to add additional overlays. They are included in the set! You will save money and time that you will be able to spend on training. The filling of this model is made of recycled materials, thanks to which the jacket is economical as well.

However, like its archetype, it has a high level of mobility. If you want to feel comfortable during training and you want to shorten the preparation time for exercise, choose AP Light Plus PRO!
