  • British Cavalry Officer Sword - 1908 Pattern

The 1908 Pattern Cavalry Trooper's Sword was the last service sword issued to the cavalry of the British Army. • Red Dragon Combat - Hand and a Half Sword (3mm Edge)

These latest additions to the Red Dragon Combat Range feature 3mm re-enactment safe edges and rounded tips. • Stage Combat Hersir Viking Sword

Our Stage Combat swords feature tempered, high carbon steel blades and are designed for light combat use. They have durable, thick edges, more than suitable for the rigours of stage combat and display fights. They also feature rounded tips for extra safety. Stage Combat swords are noticeably heavier than historical replicas due to the added weight afforded by the thicker edges. These swords are not designed for re-enactment use.

Our Hersir Viking Sword is a historically accurate replica of a Viking Sword. This style of Viking era sword is referred to as a Type H hilt in Petersen's Typology and has a triangular pommel. It seems this type is typically thought to have been found extensively in Norway, but as far south as Switzerland and Yugoslavia, and that the type H seems to have been in use about latter 8th c. to into the 10th.

The Roman Gladius was the primary weapon of the Roman Legionary and was used in conjunction with the 'Scutum' (shield) and 'Pilum' (spear). Its design was strongly influenced by the swords used by the Iberian (Spanish) Celts. It was predominantly designed as a thrusting weapon and was in use in one form or another from the 4th Century BC to the 3rd Century AD.

The Roman Wooden Sword is a replica based on historical research and is authentic in its design. These were typically used by Romans for combat training. This wooden sword is perfect for practising your sword-fighting skills, or when you simply can't carry steel to an event.

  • Club Sport Federschwert

    2 Review(s)

The Kingston Arms Sport Feder is ideal for clubs, beginners and even seasoned practitioners that want a light, fast, safe and affordable sparring sword for HEMA longsword sparring. This federschwert was designed to be safe in the thrust by flexing in the last third of the blade while keeping the rest of the sword stiff in the bind. The tip is slightly flared in thickness as well and can be used as it is with proper equipment or fitted with a leather mask or plastic tip for an added degree of safety.

Other features include a ramped thumb guard, allowing easy placement of a gloved thumb onto and off the blade during guard transitions. The pommel is indexed to the flat of the blade, making it second nature to distinguish proper edge alignment with the rearward hand. The wood core grip is in a well rounded rectangular cross section and tightly bound with an overwrap of cord to provide a firm grip.

    Overall Length: 131cm
    Blade Length: 97cm
    Handle Length: 28cm
    Weight: 1389g
Point of Balance: 8cm (at schilt)

  • Fencing Side Sword - Blunt

Designed for safe use in fencing practice, the Renaissance Side Sword provides a realistic fencing simulator to the renaissance period HEMA practitioner. Unique in the time of the primarily piercing oriented rapiers, the side sword kept the cut and thrust aspects of the late medieval arming swords and added the protection of a complex hilt hand guard.

This side sword features thick well-rounded edges and a rolled tip for greater thrusting safety. However, with all fencing swords, we suggest affixing a rubber tip blunt or piece of leather strip taped to the tip. This updated sword design provides a stiffer blade, a more robust hand guard and long lasting cord wrapped grip.

  • Renaissance Dagger

The Renaissance was a period in European history, from the 14th _17th century, that is regarded as the cultural bridge between the Middle ages and modern history. During this period the fighting arts and associated weaponry also went through change. This period gave birth to weapons like the elegant and refined rapier, designed more for duelling and protection than for use on the battlefield.

Our Renaissance Dagger is a weapon of a more refined age. Gone are the straight quillons of the medieval period, in favour of downturned quillons that make parrying easier. The blade is longer and thinner than medieval counterparts and is designed more for thrusting than cutting – whilst still remaining enough mass to solidly parry a blow from a rapier. These parrying daggers were sometimes called “Main Gauche” (French for “Left Hand”) as they were used in conjunction with a rapier, that was held in the right hand. It features solid steel hilt fittings and a leather wrapped grip. The hand forged blade is blunt and great for theatrical and re-enactment use. Not recommended for full contact combat. It comes complete with a laced leather scabbard with belt loop.

    Overall Length: 44cm
    Blade Length: 29cm
    Blade Width: 3.2cm
    Blade Thickness: 0.5cm
