The Practical Medieval dagger has been designed with the re-enactor in mind. The thick 3mm edges and rounded tip are deemed safe for the re-enactment field by the majority of organisations (if in doubt check with your safety officer). The cord wrapped grip offers excellent purchase and the thick steel guard offer a great level of protection.

Great for theatrical and re-enactment use. Not recommended for full contact combat. Comes complete with leather wrapped wood scabbard.

With our “Tournament” parrying daggers we would like to open new ways in HEMA. We wanted a dagger which can be used not only as a defense tool but also on the offensive side. But how can we make it safe for tournament usage? To achieve the desired result we had to test numerous steels and alloys. With our new materials we were able to design a blade which is highly flexible but do not suffer permanent deformation even on heavy trusts.

The Renaissance was a period in European history, from the 14^{th _}17^th century, that is regarded as the cultural bridge between the Middle ages and modern history. During this period the fighting arts and associated weaponry also went through change. This period gave birth to weapons like the elegant and refined rapier, designed more for duelling and protection than for use on the battlefield.

Our Renaissance Dagger is a weapon of a more refined age. Gone are the straight quillons of the medieval period, in favour of downturned quillons that make parrying easier. The blade is longer and thinner than medieval counterparts and is designed more for thrusting than cutting – whilst still remaining enough mass to solidly parry a blow from a rapier. These parrying daggers were sometimes called “Main Gauche” (French for “Left Hand”) as they were used in conjunction with a rapier, that was held in the right hand. It features solid steel hilt fittings and a leather wrapped grip. The hand forged blade is blunt and great for theatrical and re-enactment use. Not recommended for full contact combat. It comes complete with a laced leather scabbard with belt loop.

The Santoprene rubber blades are soft enough to prevent the likelihood of most bodily injuries. This type of dagger was widely used in medieval times during fencing training. It helps to improve swordsmanship without causing any major injuries. Especially recommended for beginners.
