Red Dragon HEMA Synthetic Messer Blade - Silver

Our Red Dragon HEMA Synthetic Messer Blades are manufactured from our own special blend of plastic to provide strong and flexible sparring blade. The blade/tang joint (traditionally a weak point) is reinforced by a high tensile steel rod running along the full length of the handle. This also removes any flex in the handle traditionally associated with plastic training swords. The edges are left smooth to prevent friction burns but can be roughened with sandpaper for a better bind.

We have been working hard with plastics experts to formulate a new grade of high impact plastic for our messer/cutlass blades. After extensive testing we are now convinced we have produced a virtually indestructible blade! Well we haven’t managed to break one yet! Rest assured this change has not affected the flexibility or weight of the blades. Designed and Manufactured in the U.K.
