Single Handed Waster
A wooden sword or ''waster'' allowed a warrior to practice full combat safely and economically while preserving his precious steel for the real battle to come. Fully seasoned and hand crafted in solid hardwood, with contrasting wood guard and pommel, to be strong enough to meet the needs of today's swordsman (or woman). Each can take the abuse of sparring and reenacting, even edge-to-edge. (Keep in mind, however, that wood can break along the grain.)
The designs represent edge weapons common from the 12th to 15th centuries. This product has been tested and approved by the Liverpool Chapter of the European Historical Combat Guild. We would recommend that to get the most life from your waster that you wrap the "blade" with gaffer tape to prevent splintering over time.
PLEASE NOTE THAT NO GUARANTEE IS OFFERED WITH THIS PRODUCT. IF YOUR WASTER BREAKS NO REPLACEMENT WILL BE OFFERED AS THE MANUFACTURER WILL NOT SUPPLY US WITH A REPLACEMENT. IF YOU WANT A MORE DURABLE WASTER PLEASE PURCHASE OUR SYNTHETIC SPARRING SWORDS.
